Parent Involvement

Every family is part of the troop.

Showing up well

Parents and guardians demonstrate commitment to the girls by encouraging and supporting them throughout their years in AHG. Girls should arrive at meetings and events on time, in the appropriate uniform, and with the necessary handbooks or supplies. In addition to TroopTrack announcements and calendars, parents can obtain information at check-in for upcoming activities, and should monitor e-mail communication regularly.

One volunteer per family

Troop NC0800 requires an adult from every family to serve in a volunteer position or on a committee within the troop. A variety of in-person and at-home positions are available. If you're worried this might be a barrier, contact us first!

Parents are welcome to visit their daughter's squad (with advance notice for space-planning purposes). In addition, our troop holds quarterly parent meetings to keep you involved in our troop's plans!
